Chiropractic Care Approach

More often than not, when we tell someone that we are a chiropractic office, they immediately associate our work with neck and/or back pain. What many do not realize, however, is that chiropractic is a health care method that provides significantly more than just a solution for pain.

Carr Chiropractic Clinic offers a wide variety of treatment options for you and your family in order to fit your specific needs.

The impact of a motor vehicle collision on a persons body can be both painful and challenging. Dr. Michelle Carr is certified in Whiplash and Traumatology by the Spine Research Institute of San Diego. She is highly experienced in the assessment and treatment of soft tissue damage with a thorough working knowledge of traumatic spinal injuries and biomechanics. Dr. Carr offers a full spine assessment as well as treatment of the many musculoskeletal issues that can accompany a motor vehicle collison.

Webster Technique

The Webster technique is a specific chiropractic analysis and adjustment that reduces nervous system stressors, balances pelvic bones, muscles and ligaments and optimizes the mother's pelvic function in pregnancy and birth. In the expectant mother, if the pelvis is not balanced, there may be an uneven pull on the mothers muscles and ligaments restricting the baby's ability to get into the best position for birth. Dr. Carr is a Webster certified practitioner and has been caring for mothers and babies for many years.

Dr. Michelle Carr using a cold light laser on her patient

Cold Light Laser

Our cold light laser uses innovative technology to deliver light energy to different tissues in order to begin the healing process. This energy reduces pain and increases circulation while also stimulating muscle fibers through electrical muscle stimulation if needed. It is a very safe and effective tool used to reduce inflammation, accelerate tissue repair, promote cellular growth and most importantly, reduce pain. Laser therapy is painless and usually lasts about 10 minutes. Give our office a call to find out how laser therapy can help you!

Functional Dry Needling

Dr. Michelle Carr received her certification in functional dry needling while attending courses at the LSU Physical Therapy campus  in New Orleans.

Functional dry needling involves inserting a tiny needle into the muscle or muscles in order to release a shortened band of muscles and decrease trigger point activity. This treatment can help resolve pain and muscle tension and will promote healing. This is not traditional Chinese Acupuncture but instead a medical treatment that relies on a medical diagnosis to be effective.

Functional dry needling is a valuable and effective treatment for musculoskeletal pain!
